讲座摘要：

Previous research has recognized the role of pro-market reforms, but there has been less discussion on how a specific market-oriented institution—antitrust legislation—can influence SME internationalization. Drawing on the attention-based view, this study argues that antitrust legislation in developing countries leads SMEs to focus their product market attention and efforts on domestic markets, thereby reducing their inclination toward internationalization. Our analysis of a sample of 26,412 firms from developing countries indicates a significantly negative impact of antitrust laws on the product market internationalization of SMEs. The results also reveal that both group affiliation and domestic private ownership negatively moderate the relationship between antitrust laws and the product market internationalization of SMEs. The findings shed light on SME internationalization by exploring a previously under-explored antecedent - antitrust legislation.

主讲人简介：

张唤本科毕业于中国人民大学社会学系，硕士毕业于美国迈阿密大学政治学系，博士毕业于中山大学管理学院IPHD项目（工商管理方向），现担任澳大利亚悉尼大学商学院国际商务系助理教授（终身教职）。他的研究兴趣主要集中在跨国企业的国际战略和非市场竞争战略在新兴市场的应用，尤其关注新兴市场的制度多变性对企业行为（例如创新，企业社会责任，数字化升级）的影响，已经在 Journal of International Business Studies （UTD-24), Global Strategy Journal, Journal of International Management 等国际商务领域的国际顶级期刊发表多篇论文。张唤系中国华南地区首位本土培养在海外一流商学院担任常任轨教职的博士。荣获2022年Alan Rugman young scholar的最终提名奖，该奖旨在奖励全球40岁以下的杰出国际商务学者。此外，他还是美国管理学学会，美国国际商务学会，美国战略管理协会的会员，并为多个国际期刊担任编委工作。
