讲座摘要:
Given the large number of empirical studies of workplace voice, it is surprising that there has not been much attention given to potential cultural differences, or to examining the impact of cultural values as drivers or inhibitors of voice behavior. In this paper, we set out to explore culture-related differences in voice behavior. Results from time-lagged data of 573 employees showed that individualism relates positively to voice behavior through voice efficacy. Collectivism, on the one hand, promotes voice behavior by enhancing collective identification, and impedes voice behavior by undermining voice safety on the other hand. We further found that for promotive voice, the path through collective identification is stronger, while for prohibitive voice, the voice safety path is stronger. Implications for theory and practice are discussed.

李圭泉,管理学博士,北京大学心理与认知科学学院研究员、博士生导师,天津市131创新人才。李圭泉博士主要研究方向为领导力、追随力、个体行为及动机等,尤其关注领导下属互动中的微观心理过程,相关成果发表在Journal of Applied Psychology、Personnel Psychology、Journal of Occupational and Organizational Psychology、Journal of Business Ethics、Leadership Quarterly、《南开管理评论》等管理学期刊上,主持国家自然科学基金面上、青年等项目。李圭泉博士长期担任Journal of Occupational and Organizational Psychology、Journal of Business Research、管理世界、南开管理评论、管理学报等多个期刊评审人。
