主 题：Managing Hybrid Manufacturing/Remanufacturing Systems: New Results and Insights
Remanufacturing is an industrial process that restores end-of-life goods to their original working condition. Many industries have recognized the economic and environmental values of this sustainable manufacturing strategy in recent years and manage the remanufacturing process together with the manufacturing process when producing serviceable products. Due to the practical importance, researchers have started to analyze hybrid manufacturing/remanufacturing systems since 1970s; but most papers have assumed that the lead times are identical for manufacturing and re-manufacturing, especially on periodic-review finite-horizon systems. Motivated by the observations that the lead-time difference is a common feature in practice, in this project we conduct a comprehensive and in-depth study on the dynamic inventory management for periodic-review finite-horizon hybrid manufacturing/remanufacturing systems with different lead times.
